What does Port BI do?Self-service software to accelerate BI migration. The current permits migration from Qlik Sense to Power BI.

What does it NOT support during migration?Custom visuals and data files present in the Qlik Cloud storage are not extracted.

Do you read my data?No. Port BI extracts only the metadata from the BI source.

What happens to the not supported items?Not supported visuals are represented as Tables. Can map Qlik Cloud storage files with local file path with provisions available for manual mapping.

Is bulk migration possible?QVFs need to be migrated one at a time, initiated by users.

Does PORT BI Store my data?Port BI is installed on-premises and only the metadata is accessed at any point in time.

What does it migrate in case of Qlik Sense to Power BI?Port BI migrates all elements from QVF files including Back-end script, data modelling, section access scripts, QVD generator script, variable handling, dimensions, measures, master dimensions, master measures, hierarchies, SET analysis, Qlik built-in visualization, themes, fonts and layouts.

License

How does the licensing mechanism work?Licensing is based on the number of reports to be migrated and their complexity (classified as simple, medium, and complex). Users can benefit from an Estimator to assess the % of migration to plan and assess value upfront.

Is there a trial available?No. However, Port BI offers a starter plan to start small with fewer reports and experience the results for themselves.
